Business Journal: Harassment Training
A state regulation demanding that supervisors get harassment training is taking shape.
Monday, July 17, 2006
California businesses with more than 50 employees will have to train their supervisors about sexual harassment … that became state law 18 months ago. But how to do it has been hotly contested. One set of advocates wants online training and web seminars. Another says it must be face to face to be effective. Either outcome has repercussions for consultants and attorneys. Now it appears that all of those methods will be okayed … as long as the training takes at least two hours. The Fair Employment and Housing Commission is expected to approved this by the of August, so the law can be implemented.
