Randy Hartley – a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Sacramento – says a large bubble of high pressure is building over Northern California.

"We are looking for temperatures to get above the century mark over the weekend and then slowly taper off as we go through the week next week."

And Hartley says local rivers are still running cold because of the snow melt. So if you’re going to be rafting or playing in the water, wear a life jacket because he says hypothermia can take over quickly.
