American River Still Running High And Cold

But Lewis Moore with the bureau warns the river will still be cold and higher than normal throughout the summer because of the wet spring. 

"And what’s really important for the recreationists out there is that they need to know the water temperature is colder and the flows are a little bit higher than normal for this time of year because we had such a great water year." 

The water in the American River is around 50-degrees and that’s about 10-degrees colder than usual this time of year.
