Jesse Estrada, with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, says firefighters aren’t just worried about the weather:
Ninety five percent of the fires in CDF’s jurisdiction are usually known to be of human cause.
Estrada says there is fire danger in both Northern and Southern California. In the North, lightening strikes on trees are causing problems. In the South, an abundance of dry grass and trees is providing possible tinder for fires.
