A high pressure ridge is expected to take a hold of the Sacramento area for the next five days which means more hot weather. And Johnny Powell – a forecaster with the National Weather Service office in Sacramento – says we’ll see triple digits.
"Yeah, we couldn’t have planned it any better – our first 100 degree reading officially coming on Wednesday the first day of summer which will arrive at 5:26 AM."
Powell says last year, our first 100 degree reading came on June 30th. He says if you’re sensitive to the hot weather, drink plenty of water and reduce your outdoor activities between noon and 8 PM.
