Since late 2004, a dozen people have been arrested for drug-related charges in Oak Park and sentenced to federal prison. The latest case is a crack cocaine dealer who was just sentenced to 21-years.

The head of the Drug Enforcement Administration office in Sacramento – Gordon Taylor – says their work in Oak Park is far from over.

"We look at this last case as doing stretching exercises or maybe even calesthenics – we’re just getting warmed up. We’re going to continue our work with the Sacramento Police Department, the US Attorney’s Office and members of the Oak Park community to reduce the flow of drugs into Oak Park."

The DEA calls their joint investigation the Mobile Enforcement Team or MET and they’re targeting drug traffickers in Oak Park. The MET previously went after drug dealers in the Franklin Villa area of Sacramento.
