The Schwarzengger campaign has been quiet over the past couple of months, content to let Treasurer Angelides and Controller Steve Westly duke it out. But not wasting even a day, Schwarzenegger’s now on a two-day bus tour that includes stops in Redding, Chico, Samoa, Auburn, Modesto and Fresno. At a Redding park, he told supporters what differentiates him from his opponent:
“The other side is talking about all the problems that CA has – we are solving the problems. That is the difference. The other side wants to take us back to 21/2, 3 years ago. We want to move forward."
Phil Angelides and Steve Westly held a joint news conference in L.A. to declare their united effort to unseat Schwarzenegger. They’ve pledged to tour the state as a team – a sharp contrast from the negative campaign that’s dominated the past few weeks.
