10th and K is the midpoint between the busier east end of K St, with the IMAX Theater and Esquire Grill … and new condomiunium towers under constructions to the west. City officials say they like the plan of developer David Taylor to create a cabaret and restaurant on the ground floor of the former Woolworth Building, which stands vacant. More dining would be upstairs … and across K Street, where another developer is negotiating with the popular Jack’s Urban Eats to open a restaurant. For many years, this stretch of K Street has been desolate at night, as one redevelopment plan after another hasn’t come to fruition.
