The 240-acre project would include 10,000 housing units, a theater, a marina, retail shops and restaurants and a new sports arena.

Suheil Totah with the development company behind the project - Thomas Enterprises - says The Railyards plan will make Sacramento a regional destination.
"This is an important project, it’s a property that’s been owned by the railroad for 150 years and has been gated from the community. We want to bring this property back to the community where it belongs."
Wednesday night's workshop is from 6 to 8 o’clock at the Railway Express Agency Building on I Street.
