Airport officials are thinking about adding a store that will offer wine tastings.

"You’ll step in and just like similar other wine bars they’ll be a flight of let’s say cabernets or zinfandels or merlots."

Cheryl Marcell with the airport says a Vino Volo store would be located on the second floor of Terminal A across from Starbucks. But are alcohol consumption and air travel a good mix?

"Well certainly you’re always concerned about that but the airlines have an obligation to make sure the passengers are behaving correctly on the airplane and certainly they’ve not had problems with this concept at any other airports so there’s no reason to think that there would be any here."

The Sacramento County Board of Supervisors Tuesday will consider a proposed agreement with Vino Volo’s parent company. If they approve it, the store could be up and running within six months.
