Sacramento State Sociology Professor Amy Liu conducted the Kings survey and her main finding was:

The majority of the residents in the Sacramento region do not think the Sacramento Kings need a new arena.
Just 27 percent of residents in Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer and Yolo Counties think the Kings need a new arena.  Only 28 percent say they are satisfied with the Kings’ overall performance.  That’s even though 53 percent of those surveyed consider themselves Kings’ fans.  Fifty three percent also say they would be disappointed if the Kings left the area.
Sacramento city officials have been considering various funding options to build a new arena for the Kings in the downtown area, but have not been able to settle on a final plan.
