Sac State has spots this fall for 6 thousand new students. And admissions officials are taking extra measures to make sure they get those new faces on campus. For one, according to Ric Brown, Vice President of Academic Affairs, they’re contacting each admitted student to let them know they will be able to get the classes and academic counseling they need:
Whether it’s personal, phone, e-mail or letter, we’re going to try to contact every admitted student and let them know that we want them to come in the fall.
The university is also recruiting international students, whose numbers have fallen in recent years due to fears over 9/11. The school is advertising in international brochures, and sending representatives to global recruitment fairs.
