The city council has unanimously approved $2.7 Million in transportation projects. Erin Treadwell with the city of Rancho Cordova says motorists will see some differences.
"The majority of the projects are going to involve street maintenance. There’s also going to be funding for two new traffic signals, also to augment the funding to improve the landscaping and the streetscaping of Folsom Boulevard."
She says they’ll also improve bike and pedestrian paths and put more money into residential traffic calming.
Money for the projects comes from Measure A – the half-cent sales tax approved by voters in 2004.
