Business Journal: Homes Come With Vineyards
A developer has proposed a novel project with new homes and vineyards near Woodland.

The family of developer Lux Taylor owns 1,200 acres west of Woodland. On 300 of those acres, he’s proposing the Vineyards at Cache Creek, for a fraction of that land. It could have more more than 1,000 homes, clustered into villages surrounded by vineyards. The family already has nearly 300 acres of vines … and it would be an equestrian community as well, with trails, and stables for 200 horses. This would be far larger than Wild Wings or Monument Hills, the two existing new communities west of the city. Opponents note that it’s leapfrog development, far from stores, and it induces other growth.
