That’s the word from snow survey crews with the state Department of Water Resources.
On KXJZ’s Insight Tuesday, survey chief Frank Gehrke said the snowpack is looking better thanks to all the storm activity this month.
"Prior to those March storms we were actually a little below average at many locations and the March storms have boosted us out to where we’re about oh 10 to 20% above average."
Tuesday's measurements were taken along Highway 50 near Echo Summit. Snowpack measurements help determine water supply forecasts for hydroelectric power companies, farmers and the recreation industry.
