The first ever California Capital Airshow will be held Saturday and Sunday at Mather Airport in Rancho Cordova. Spokeswoman Karen Doran they’ve got a lot of activities on tap.
"The highlight of the show is the US Navy Blue Angels making their first appearance in the Sacramento area in a very long time. We also have additional aerobatic performers and over 50 static aircraft displays and we highly recommend brining earplugs because some of the aircraft can be quite loud."
She says they expect around 50,000 to come to the airshow. Regional Transit is offering complimentary shuttle service from the Mather Field light rail station to the airshow.
