It’s not the first time Peter Camejo has run for Governor….but the green party candidate says it will probably be his last.  He ran in 2002 and 2003….and you may remember him as Ralph Nader’s running mate in the 2004 Presidential election.  Camejo says he’s convinced that people are ready for a change:

“The polls show total disenchantment with the two major parties. I mean, the polls are enormous, it’s like 60-70-80% in one form or another people saying they don’t trust politicians or they don’t like the limitation of two parties.”

Camejo says he wants to increase taxes for the rich and for corporations.  He’s focused on worker issues – such as hiking the minimum wage, and managing outsourcing of jobs.  He says he’s not a fan of a major bond issue to improve the state’s roads and levees....saying it will benefit corporations rather than people.
