Dr. Denny Anspach read his first mammogram at Stanford Medical School in 1961 … and for the past 15 years, his little practice at 29th Street in Sacramento did nothing but mammograms. Patients came from far and wide, even other states. Women had the mammogram done, and then he immediately went over the results with the 20 to 25 patients he saw each day. Radiology groups typically have women come back … and run far more patients through on a daily basis to make it work financially. 72-year-old Dr. Anspach said he was facing higher rent … and decided to close the doors.
