Temperatures are expected to be in the low 70s again…a few degrees higher than the previous record for this time of year.
Steve Goldstein – a forecaster at the National Weather Service office in Sacramento – says it’ll stay this way for the rest of the week.
"Well, we have very strong high pressure over us. In a way, mother nature looks for balances and this is kind of a balance between some of the bad, wet weather we had before and a much warmer, drier air mass that’s in place right now."
Goldstein says a cooling trend is on tap for next week and he says wet weather will most likely return next month with the arrival of Spring.
