Davis resident Enrique Manzanilla rides QuickLink to get to his job in Downtown San Francisco.

"The service was a very convenient service, it was faster than Amtrak."

But Greyhound is ending the line on January 31st. Company spokeswoman Anna Folmnsbee says passenger numbers on the four express buses are slipping.

"Our cost has grown significantly over the last few years and ridership has actually declined."

Manzanilla says Greyhound should be trying to encourage more I-80 commuters to get out of their cars and take mass transit.

"To have Greyhound now decide to be part of the problem instead of being part of the solution is frankly ironic."

Manzanilla and other QuickLink users are appealing to local elected officials to convince Greyhound to keep the line going.
