Tsakopoulos owns the twelve-story Meridian Plaza at fourteen fifteen L Street in downtown Sacramento. He has plans for a twenty-three story high rise on the vacant land behind that building. Construction of the tower, estimated to cost from seventy five million to eighty million dollars, could start late this year.

Tsakopolous formed a partnership with veteran office developer Anthony Giannoni – who built Meridian Plaza – to build the second tower, which will face fifteenth street. Finished two years ago, Meridian Plaza is fully occupied, largely by lobbyists. Close to the Capitol, the new building is expected to attract more lobbyists.
