Raj Pooni, a 33-year-old entrepreneur, will have two soccer fields available in an old furniture warehouse come March. To be called the Arden Indoor Soccer Arena, it’s the latest entry in what has been a very popular niche.
The Sacramento region already has about a half dozen indoor soccer venues. This one will be the largest than most. The market for these facilities is comprised of adult players and youth clubs who can’t get lighted outdoor fields within a 30 minute drive.
Another soccer complex in the works will be called Soccer Planet, scheduled to open in April on 47th Avenue in Sacramento.
