The numbers are big. A quarter of a billion dollars. Half a million square feet. But the university has the 10-acre site on Stockton Boulevard, at the UC Davis Medical Center … and it’s finally gaining traction at the University’s Office of the President. The regents will review it in February.
 
The university badly needs more search space. This year more than $100 million in research funding is pouring in. A state-of-the-art new facility would help draw top researchers to the campus, and would give a boost to biotech companies as well as those that create new medical technology.
