Right beside the Capital City Freeway, near the American River, sits 48 acres that for many years have looked like a tranquil orchard. But neighbors and the city have turned away different proposals … first the so-called Centrage Office Park 15 years ago, and then high rise housing after that.
Now Chris Stevens of Cambridge Homes is buying the land … with a plan to put three to four hundred homes on the site, in a way that fits with neighboring McKinley Park.
Early responses from neighbors show promise. Stevens is continuing to talk with neighbors, before bringing a formalized plan to the city.
