The bond sale for redevelopment can enable a lot of project ideas to move forward in a city that is finally having a renaissance, with new restaurants and condo projects for people wanting to live in the city.

K Streeet Mall will probably be a beneficiary, with redevelopment money pushing along plans for new retail, condo housing, and restaurants in the vicinity of 7th and 8th Streets.

Oak Park redevelopment should see new investment … and relocating the Greyhouse bus depot out of the central city may be enabled.  The City Council will approve specific decisions … but projects that boost downtown living and street life will head the list.
