In other local races: voters in Davis defeated Measure X which would have let the city convert farmland on the outskirts of town into a residential and commercial area.

Placer County voters supported plans for a proposed university with the approval of Measure H.

And voters in both Yuba and Amador counties rejected measures to build more Indian casinos.
