In the spring, the Westfield Group that owns the mall announced plans to add 80 to 100 new stores. Now they’ve just come in with a parking and circulation plan, which would add nearly 2,000 spaces to the 4,900 that exist.
The overall vision calls for three multilevel parking structures, a movie theater with up to 16 screens, and possible an upscale supermarket. Besides the new stores, expansions would occur at Macy’s, J.C. Penney and Sears. Hearings will begin early in the new year.
