Watershed Research Lab Opens In Davis

Researchers will use the center to study critical issues including California stream and lake management and restoration. Spokeswoman Sylvia Wright says they’ll also look at other ecological issues. 

“Some of those problems might include what we are seeing currently with the decline of fish feces in the Sacramento River Delta, it’s not clear why the fish populations are dropping.” 

Wright says work conducted in the center’s laboratories will help lawmakers make informed decisions about the conservation of watersheds.
