In product testing at local supermarkets, Nor Cal Beverage says Go Girl has been a big hit. After it rolls out locally, company president Don Dreary says it will go national.
The 12-ounce pink can costs $2. It will compete with Red Bull, which had global sales of $2 billion last year, and with the likes of Hansen’s Energy Drinks and CocaCola’s upcoming Tab Energy.
Go Girl is different. It’s lightly carbonated, with a natural herbal appetite suppressant, says Nor Cal Beverage. It also has vitamins geared to women, and caffeine equal to a cup of coffee.
