Two developers with plans to build out different parts of a beleagured stretch of K Street in downtown Sacramento have signed a peace treaty.
The two builders, Joe Zeiden and John Saca have agreed to do separate developments on the corridor without getting in each other’s way. Saca is expected to build a mid-rise condo tower with about six hundred units. Zeiden will build street level retail stores with possibly a dozen lofts above them.
The city of Sacramento has been trying for decades to attract a developer to improve the two K Street blocks. The deal between Saca and Zeiden is the first serious progress.
