Java City hopes to raise more than $50,000 with its Art for Kids’ Sake program. Vice President of Operations Sean Hamilton says it’ll help bring art education to more than 75,000 Sacramento area students.

"Since 2004, California has been leading the nation on doing cutbacks for art programs for schools so we’re just trying to find a way to get money back into those activities for the public schools here in the Sacramento area."

The company will donate a dollar for every bag of “A Blend for the Arts” coffee sold through next summer.

The money will go to education programs run by the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento and the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts in Davis.
