R.C. Willey had already announced plans for a big-box store in Rocklin, to sell home furnishings. Now it’s revealed its new lease to create a regional distribution center in Roseville, which will serve Reno and future stores it’s contemplating for the Central Valley .... including a few more in Sacramento.

It’s the largest warehouse lease in the Sacramento area in at least a decade – for half a million square feet. A hundred and fifty new jobs come with it. The site had been a Hewlett Packard facility, before the merger with Compaq brought about a cutback in H-P’s local operations.

R.C. Willey is a unit of Bershire Hathaway, led by financier Warren Buffet.
