After Jennifer and Dave DeMink encountered repeated instances of shoddy subcontractor work in their new home, they didn’t just get mad. They got motivated.

Last week they put up a consumer oriented Web site called Jenslist.

The idea is to let users share truthful stories – good and bad -- of their experiences with contractors. So far they’ve spent four thousand dollars on it and developed it in their spare time. Now the site is free to registered users at jenslist.com.

If the site grows as planned, the DeMinks hope to eventually offer Jenslist in Scottsdale and Phoenix, in Denver and in Portland.
