The CHP will be going after speeders on Interstate Five Wednesday. Spokesman Tom Marshall says it’s a 24-hour strike force stretching from Mexico to the Oregon border. "And we’re telling everybody in advance that this is going to be happening. So there’s no excuse for you to be speeding on Interstate Five. It’s become a problem for us and this is one of the methods we’re using to take care of it."
Marshall says speeding is the leading cause of fatal accidents. The strike force means additional officers will be patrolling on the ground and in the air from 6 o’clock Wednesday morning to 6 AM Thursday.
