According to Allstate Insurance Company’s “America’s Best Drivers Report” Sacramento ranks 170 on a list of 196.

Spokeswoman Lisa Wanamaker says local drivers are more likely to get in a crash compared to the rest of the country. "The average driver in Sacramento would be involved in a collision every 7.7 years and that’s 30% higher than the average nationally."

She says Allstate based their findings on internal property damage claims over a two-year period. The highest-ranking California city on the list is Bakersfield at number 19. Where do the country’s safest drivers live? Cedar Rapids, Iowa with an average collision interval of 15 years.
