Twenty-two year old Hamid Hayat and his father, 47-year-old Umer Hayat  were arrested this past weekend by federal agents. Published reports say the arrests stem from an investigation of a terrorist cell in the Lodi area.

The men made a brief appearance yesterday in U.S. District Court in Sacramento according to the Associated Press. The Hayat’s, who are both U-S citizens, are currently held in the Sacramento County Jail.

Umer Hayat is charged in the complaint with lying about his son's involvement in the terror camp. Two other Lodi men are being detained on immigration violations
