Alan Zaremberg is the co-chairman of Citizens to Save California, which is the campaign committee that’s pushing some of the Governor’s proposed government changes.

Zaremberg says Schwarzenegger’s budget spending measure is coming close to having enough signatures to be turned over to local elections officials.

“Well on the spending limit, we’ll say give or take a few days by the end of the week.”

A separate committee that’s overseeing the Governor’s plan to re-draw legislative district lines reports it's ready to deliver signatures to county registrars of voters by the end of the week.  State elections officials say If the Governor wants a special election in November, he’ll have to call it next month.
