The new La Hacienda market and four other shops have just opened on Franklin Boulevard, bringing new life to a Hispanic-focused shopping center. The grocery site had been boarded up for years. The sacramento redevelopment agency had a hand in the $1.8 million dollar renovation.
La Hacienda Plaza is next door another recently transformed strip center, called La Plaza. It’s all part of a rejuvenation of a once blighted area for shopping, incorporating efforts by the Franklin Boulevard Business Association as well. Crime has fallen off sharply as this shopping artery has improved.
