Governor Announces Coalition for Reform Members
Governor Schwarzenegger Tuesday introduced two dozen members of the “Governor’s Coalition for Education Reform” to reporters at the Capitol. Mike Montgomery has more.

Coalition for Reform members were chosen by the governor, in part, to counter the established Education Coalition, which has consistently called for more state money for schools. The governor insisted his new budget gives schools almost three billion more dollars next year. Cecilia Mansfield with the state P-T-A said Schwarzenegger’s reforms are a smokescreen to mask his refusal to commit adequate funds.
