Developers Finalizing Capitol Mall High-Rise
Construction is expected to start this summer on a 24-story high-rise on Capitol Mall.

Developer David Taylor is getting ready to pay the city of Sacramento one point seven million dollars. That would finalize building permits needed to start construction on the first building of his Lot A projects on Capitol Mall. The project was slated to start last year, but was postponed. This time, however, it looks like a go. The building at six two one Capitol Mall would be the first Class A downtown office development since the Meridian Plaza was built two years ago at Fourteenth and L streets. Taylor’s tower, almost twice Meridian’s size, will likely compete for tenants with a huge complex planned for Raley’s Landing, in West Sacramento. For the Business Journal, this is Mark Larson
