California is the thirty-first state to have its own quarter. George Washington remains “heads” but the “tails” side now shows Half Dome at Yosemite, a California Condor in flight, and the image of pioneer conservationist John Muir standing in the foreground. Schwarzenegger handed out the first quarters to a group of Sacramento school kids.
