A four-story building will come first in the new Riverview Plaza, on a site just south of the baseball stadium in what’s known as the Triangle, an industrial backwater. It will use environmentally advanced technology, with hopes of becoming the Sacramento region’s 2nd privately-owned building certified by the U.S. Green Building Council. The companion office building will rise 17 stories. It will be clearly visible from downtown Sacramento, with construction to begin at a later date. Two West Sacramento companies and a builder based in Southern California are behind the project, which won City Council approval several days ago.
