Instead of settling for s’mores and ghost stories, campers will be able to use laptops with so-called wi-fi connectivity. Following an agreement with the state park system, SBC will install what’s called a hot spot at each location. Laptops with wireless capability will have internet access within a radius of 150 to 200 feet. 84 parks will be fitted with the system … the largest wi-fi deployment in any park system nationwide. Park visitors who are not SBA wi-fi customers already will be able to purchase 24-hour or monthly access while they bask in nature.
