About 250 people stopped by Saint Jude’s Church in Ceres to say “goodbye” to 19-year-old Andres Raya. He was killed last Sunday night in a shootout with police near a liquor store in Ceres. Police believe the Marine, who was AWOL from Camp Pendleton, wanted to be killed. His friends and family say he was distraught following a tour in Iraq. Tony Olivia says his friend has been maligned by the Ceres police and the media.   OLIVIA :13—They’re trying to put their two cents in and say that he wasn’t a good guy when we knew that Andy was the real deal and it’s a whole different story. So I guess we can say that it was war that did this.   Police say Raya shot Sergeant Howard Stevenson and seriously injured officer Sam Ryno before being killed himself in a shootout with other officers. Stevenson’s funeral is scheduled for next Tuesday. Bob Hensley KXJZ News.
