Spanos Plans to Build 620 Apt Complexes
Stockton-based developer Alex Spanos plans an 86-Million dollar building blitz in Sacramento.

Spanos, who owns the San Diego Chargers professional football team, plans to build six hundred twenty upscale apartments by two thousand six. Three projects are targeted. One is south of Arco Arena with one hundred sixty eight units. Two hundred forty four units are planned on the southwestern corner of Florin Road and Interstate Five. And a third is a two hundred eight unit complex at Mather Field Drive and Highway Fifty. Spanos hasn't built apartments in Sacramento for three years, but is doing so now to meet continuing demand. In Sacramento, apartment construction this year should more than double last year's total. And next year the hot pace is expected to continue. For the Business Journal, this is Mark Larson
