Members of Veterans for Peace say they want to discourage young people from signing up to fight in Iraq. Spokesman George Main says they’ll be outside the Military Entrance Processing Station in the Northgate area around noon. We’re going to set up a counter recruiting operation. We’re going to try and get to these young men and women before they sign the papers, when they’re hungry at lunch, that’s when we want to talk to them and say ‘hey, at least think about it.’ Main says today’s protest will be the first in a series of actions they plan to hold every week outside the facility. The processing station provides testing for young people who are candidates for military service. Steve Milne - KXJZ news.
