The six men and six women who are charged with deciding if Scott Peterson killed his wife Laci and the couple’s unborn child in December of 2002, are expected to begin their fourth day of deliberations this morning. The jurors who have been sequestered in a Redwood City hotel since last Wednesday were prohibited from convening over the weekend to discuss the case. During the break the jurors were only permitted to watch sports and movies from a court-approved selection on television. The prosecution has asked the jury to convict Peterson and give him the death penalty. The judge has ruled that second-degree murder with a minimum 15-year sentence could be an option. Defense lawyers say Peterson is innocent. They claim someone else abducted and killed the Modesto woman, then placed the bodies in the San Francisco Bay. Bob Hensley KXJZ News.
