New Assembly Members Begin Orientation
Twenty-four newly elected Assembly members-to-be began an orientation process Friday at the state Capitol.

The overall balance of power in the Assembly- 48 Democrats and 32 Republicans – will remain unchanged next year. But 15 of the Democrats will be new members as will be nine of the Republicans. One of those Republicans is Roger Niello (NEE low) of suburban Sacramento and Placer counties. Neillo says the orientation sessions will stretch into next week and next year.
