California’s Planned Parenthood Action Fund has endorsed John Kerry for President— and is sending one-thousand volunteers to Nevada and Oregon, urging voters who support abortion rights to vote for the Democratic nominee. Political Director Justine Sarver says volunteers will go door-to-door in both states. Cut: Parent1 (:11) “Tracking down women who are single and under forty, who don’t vote that frequently, so we may be getting some new voters in this election that we consider to be our base.” Sarver says the actions are a step beyond the organization’s traditional voter guide that advises which candidates support Planned Parenthood’s missions. The national organization has also launched a series of television ads that will air in heavily contested states. SOC
