Employment and Manufacturing Posed for Rebound
A new employment forecast out Friday says the Sacramento area job market will grow by 3% over the next year.

Forecasters say the private sector will lead the growth, particularly construction. The Director of the California Institute for County Government at C-S-U, Sacramento Matthew Newman, says manufacturing is also poised for a rebound. When you look at what’s going on in the economy here, things look pretty good. The main sector that’s having trouble right now is the government sector, that’s a big sector for the region. But most of the rest of the economy is doing very well. Newman says government employment will stay weak in the face of ongoing budget deficits. Steve Milne - KXJZ news.
